Does your child know how to change a tire on a car? Children love to learn new things. Even if you don't necessarily need to change your tire, you can always teach your kid how to change it so that if and when the situation arises that they need to change a tire, they can feel confident and prepared for the situation.

How long has it been since you took your child fishing? The value is not about the fish that you catch but about the experience and memories. It's a great example of walking through an experience start to finish with your child. Depending on their age they could even be a part of the preparation! They could help plan where to fish, set up the fishing poles, choose the bait, ect. Try and involve them in every step and you'll be amazed at how much fun just a little fishing excursion can bring!

How do you handle the unexpected? When emotion is high, our communication can be low.
